Transport
To Langton House
Windsor is extremely
convenient for Heathrow, M4, M3 and M25, with easy access to London
via public transport, having two mainline train stations serving
London Waterloo and London Paddington stations, as well as direct
bus services to Heathrow and London. We always recommend to our
guests to stay in Windsor and travel by train into London to explore
the City. A cheaper and far more relaxing option.

Taxi
Taxi From Heathrow
The easiest way to reach Windsor from Heathrow is by taxi. London
black cabs are available from outside the terminal building but
these will cost in excess of £50 for the trip. The method
I personally use is to phone a Windsor local taxi company called
"Five Star". Phone from the arrivals hall whilst waiting
for your luggage to arrive, they will then meet you outside the
terminal building; cost for the trip is approximately £16.00
(price in year 2005). Phone them on 01753 858888 and they will describe
where to meet the taxi. They are by far the most reliable taxi company
in Windsor and have never (yet) let me, or any of my guests down.
Distance from Heathrow to Windsor 12 miles approx. Time for this
journey is dependant on traffic, but can be 20 minutes to 45 minutes
in rush hour.
Airport
Parking
For those of you who have to do this, here are a few suggestions
on airport parking from The Daily Telegraph in March 2005:-
1. Book ahead, almost always cheaper
2. Heathrow Airport - Try NCP
Flight Path or Purple Parking
3. Gatwick Airport - try APH,
NCP Flight Path
or BCP
