I decided I’m saving up to buy British Airways. I’m sure that after the strike has eventually finished I might as well get in there early to buy it up as I’m sure it will have lost so much money it will be a bargain…..At least this way the ownership will stay in the UK, otherwise I’m sure one of the cash rich Arab states like the UAE will be jumping on them as a great investment.

I hope the unions and management start to see this sort of prospect as a real alternative.

I see the staff as caught in the middle of some heavy hitters with Willie Walsh on one hand and Tony Woodley on the other. I question whether they are really putting the staff at the centre of their thoughts as opposed to their own social and work standings.
